Internet Home Business Ideas: How to Profit From Your Photography Hobby?

Are you looking for good Internet home business ideas? Well, do you like to take pictures? If so, you have an online business staring you right in the face. There are always people, in many different walks of life, looking for good photographs. And, if you can provide them, you can turn a tidy profit.

Of course, how you go about making money with photography will depend on what your goals are. Do you want to just make a little extra money with your hobby? Or would you like it to become your career, the thing you actually do for a living? Either way, the Internet will give you an opportunity to reach your goals.

There was a time when becoming a professional photographer (someone who actually get paid to take pictures) was a challenge. It didnt really matter how good you were. It was all about knowing the right people, being in the right place at the right time, and so on. But, thanks to the Internet, your dream of becoming a professional photographer can be reached in a matter of weeks. In fact, you can sell your first photograph in an hour or two. Especially if you submit your work to stock photo websites.

Stock photo websites are a bit like EBay. But instead of selling jewelry, or books, or pieces of furniture, you sell photographs. As I said before, there are always people in need of photos. Maybe they are writing a report for class, and think a vivid picture will help improve their grade. Maybe they are advertisers, who need a great photo to sell their latest product. Or they are creating a new website, and need a really interesting photo for their new design.

People in need of photographs often go to stock photo websites (like Istockphoto.com) to find them. And, once they find a photo they like, they will pay a fee for the right to use it.

The great thing about internet home business ideas like this one is how fast you can start turning a profit. If you post really good photos to stock photo websites, you could make your first sale in a week or less.

The thing about stock photo websites, as opposed to trying to find photography work in other ways, is that you dont need a resume as long as your arm, or two dozen references to be considered for a job. All you have to do is show that you can take a good picture.

Another great thing about submitting your work to stock photo websites is that it gives you exposure. These sites are frequented by people who need pictures on a regular basis. And, while they will go to such a website to find them, they often prefer working with photographers they feel they know and can trust. If they see and like your work on the stock photo website, they might contact you about doing some freelancing work for them. And, if you do a good job, they could end up hiring you again and again.

If you are looking for Internet home business ideas, why not consider turning your love of picture taking into a money-making venture? After all, what could be better than doing something you love and making money for it

Web Design Basics

The underlying purpose of web design is to develop a functional web site, that comes with a whole host of files drawn from a web server and the resultant interactive features plus the content and should be accessible by site visitors in real time, when requested.

By employing XML, XHTML or HTML tags, forms, bit-mapped images and text can be incorporated into the web pages. While heavier graphics typically need plugins such as Quick Time, Java run time environment and Flash to display videos, animations, or vector graphics.

Web site designers are known to structure the design elements of sites at various levels which include site map, individual pages plus the storyboard, and that they plot at each level during the course of the early stages of a design project.

Although, some web design tools are not seamlessly compatible with these projects. Fortunately there are certain programs which supports sketching input, and enable design at different design stages, and merges the levels via zooming.

The progress of the internet and web design translated to more sophistication and fexibility as regards technical aspects such as the markup language, in turn enabling the addition of objects, such as images and tables onto respective pages.

On the other hand, some characteristics which include tables, that had been designed for certain types of information were eventually replaced with the use of embedded device layout. And the emergence of cascading style sheets (CSS), rendered the traditional table-based layout redundant

And setting relevant goals around the design of websites is a step that may be difficult but is nevetheless very essential, therefore when embarking on the creation and the uploading of a site, make certain to take into consideration every need.

This is best carried out in full view of the site's target audience or market and their needs, thus creating a balance on the type of content, site image and navigation settings deserves special attention.

Integration technologies for databases like the server-side scripting and design standards such as W3C further transformed the system for the better. The changes spurred on over time meant that the code and visual design drastically improved as regards the various processes and tools employed.

The procedure of designing web applications or web sites for the internet may make use of various disciplines, which include marketing, interaction design, search engine optimization, typography, information architecture, photography, graphic design, authoring, animation, communication design and corporate identity.

New Cameras Provide Good Content For a Photography Website

So you plan to create a website meant solely for photography and topics related to photography? The most important thing to do for this is to gather and create useful and interesting content for the website. Remember that your photography website is going to become a marketing tool for your website, and so your website content should accordingly reflect this. You could actually create the web design for your photography website using the numerous software and templates available on the Internet. However, if you do use this software or template, you will not be able to create a unique website as anyone else can design a website using the same software or template, and will thus resemble your photography website.

So if you plan to have a photography website that is unique, you could enlist the services of a professional web designer. The web designer helps you create a website using his expertise. If you are not satisfied, you could make some changes to the designs he gives, to finally come across the best website designs. The additions and deletions you make in the website design all come in the web designers package, and he is not to charge extra for that work. The professional web designer may cost a bit but compared to the profits you make through the website, this fare can be considered negligible.

If you plan to write your own content for your photography website, remember to appeal to the emotions of your web site visitors. Make it a point to highlight the benefits of photography; like the benefits of digital photography, where you can do all the developing and printing of photos in the comfort of your house; without having to go to a photo developing shop. You could include programs for novices to organize photos into albums. By doing this, the visitor learns how to load the photographs into a community building web page that permits sharing of photos address books and chat rooms. Including photography tips is very important in a photography website, as everyone is always on the lookout for tips to make their photography better and more attractive. All these points make the visitor more interested in visiting your website to read the content of the website.

Of course, other content that could be entered in a photography website would be newsletters and articles of new products and services that are available for improved photography. The photography market is improving everyday, with new cameras, video cameras, printers and photo accessories coming out everyday. By including all this in the photography website, people will be informed about the developments in the world of photography. Since there are many photography contests going on around the country and the world, including information about this too is feasible for the photography website. In this way, people who are interested in the competitions may participate in these competitions. News about the numerous photography events going on too is another piece of information that could be included in the photography website. This way, photographers can visit these events to have a look at the work of others photography and thus make improvements in their own photography.

To make the content of your photography website more interesting and appealing to the visitors, you could consider including banners buttons and clip art in the photography website. However, avoid creating too big banners and graphic designs for the photography website, as visitors are not actually that patient to wait for these big files to download; they may leave the website for waiting for so long. Another thing to remember when creating a website for photography; is that it is vital to use terminology that the general public understands, as it is they who will be most visiting your website. Dont use industry jargon and abbreviations, as a well-written site is one that entices sales and improves your search engine rankings. This can be done only if the visitor actually understands what is on your photography website!

As your photography website may also contain cameras and camera accessories for sale, it is important that you eliminate apprehensions of visitors buying online. You have to ensure them that you have a privacy policy, which they can easily access. Display your contact information on your website as this lends credibility and reassures potential buyers. Showing satisfaction of your products and services with testimonials from past clients too is an important part of your photography website. They are an excellent marketing tool, just make sure that the testimonials are legitimate. You could legitimize the testimonials by including the persons title, business name and website too. Make your purchase process in the photography website easy for the visitor to understand. Keep the purchase buttons at easily identifiable points by using action words like buy now on the buttons. This is sure to give an increase in the sales of your photography equipment and also more visits to your website! So keep all these points in mind when creating a photography website and see the popularity of the website soar!

Youll get commission for every products sale done through those links you have on your domain. Dont forget that it is hard to find those products which are really related to your websites subject. It is just a matter of common sense for example if you have a site related to photography, people will never ever follow links that will take them to home decorators or website designers because they need sites related to photography. So be careful about this!

To determine what ads you should display on your website, use Google Adwords. It will give you a list of related links but for this make sure your site has good amount of contents in it. The amount for making user click at any link from your site varies from some cents to dollars.

So the question is: How much income can you make?

You can expect to be paid for hosting Google ads but then that money wont be enough for you if you are really serious about making money.

Below are some tips which can really help you to make good amount of money from your website:

* Try to own various websites relating to different subjects. They altogether cant make a large amount of money but then it will let you experiment different concepts, ideas to attract more people and to generate income.

* Create your websites on keywords where clicks on Google advertisement pays highest amount and settle your site on it. Make sure your site is attractive enough to make you really get benefit.

* Try to have a unique subject for your website where you have to compete with very less sites. It will help you not only to get on the first page of search engines but you will also get good traffic.

So, how to make a start?

First of all youll have to buy domain name for your website and as youll be planning to open more than 1 site, buying domain names individually would demand lot of money from you so try finding those hosting sites which can let you have many domains on one account.

Now you can ask how much competitive this business is?

Dont forget to employ Wordtracker (a very helpful program) for setting up a money making site. It will let you know that how many people type keywords that you are considering and also how many sites will be in competition with you.

Make sure you are choosing a subject where competing websites are not in larger numbers because users usually go for first ten sites they find on search engines and chances for being among those first ten sites are very low.

Keywords are very important and if you want to make people visit your site you should put keywords users search most. But if youll not provide them related content youll be on search engines.

Transform Any Free Web Template into a Unique Website

Beginning webmasters may not want to pay a lot of money for professional website design. After all, they have the option of using one of the thousands of free web templates available on the internet. To use a free web template, all you have to do is download a file and then upload them onto your web server. Easy!

There is a problem with using free web templates, however. No matter how hard you look, you will be hard pressed to find a truly unique one. People who have been around on the internet for a while will be able to recognize a stock web template.

The best way to deal with this problem is to transform the free web template into a unique website of your own. As long as you have a minimal amount of web design knowledge and a graphics software program, you will be able to do this easily. The first thing to do is make sure that the free web template you choose allows you to make changes without purchasing a license or paying a fee.

Step One Changing the Free Web Template Layout

If the free web templates layout is written in CSS, as it should be for quality websites, you must know a bit about CSS in order to change the template. If you do not, you can try switching left alignments to right, or changing the number measurements for layout values. Trial and error can teach you a lot about cascading style sheets (CSS). Just be sure to make a backup of the original file first.

Step Two Changing the Free Web Template Colors

Changing the free web template colors is a great way to make it unique. First, find a color chart on the internet. Each color has a six-digit number or letter code. For example, the code for white is FFFFFF. Look for these codes in your CSS web template and change them to whatever colors you like. Many color combinations can look good on a website, but you should be careful to make it match.

Step Three Changing the Free Web Template Graphics

The last step in building a unique website from a free web template is to change the graphics. Web templates come with graphics. Open these graphic files in your software program and change them to match your website design. You can easily change the colors, heading, or even the entire picture by using clip art or stock photography.

After you finish transforming the free web template into your own unique website, you must, of course, change the titles, navigation, and content of the site. Then, you will have your own website, personally styled and ready to go.

Website Design - Choose Your Colours Wisely

When designing a website choose colors wisely. Remember, colors convey emotions and emotions can heavily influence your decision-making process. Your choice of colors for your website should mirror the message and/or feeling you to hope to communicate to the viewer. Let's take a look at some colors and what they mean to you and your website.

Blue - the color of stability Blue is a color of peace, harmony, tranquility, health, coolness, confidence, loyalty, conservatism, dependability and technology. Blue is a safe choice for most uses. It causes the brain to send off 11 chemical tranquilizers and is a wonderful calming color. It is a preferred color for corporate America, but avoid using blue when promoting food and cooking because blue suppresses appetite.

Negatives: Depression, coldness, obscenity, conservatism and winter

Red - the color of passion Red is the color of passion, strength, energy, fire, love, excitement, speed, leadership and power. When using red in your website design it is best to us it as an accent color. This color does not usually work well with greens or purples of the same intensity, causing a vibrating effect on the eyes. It is a perfect color for 'Buy Now' or 'Click Here' buttons on Internet banners and websites as it attracts the eye.

Negatives: Danger, fire, blood, war, anger, stop, revolution, radicalism and aggression

Yellow - the color of ideas Yellow can convey sunlight, joy, happiness, optimism, idealism, wealth (gold), summer and hope. It is the brightest color and intellectuals love yellow. Purple is a very rare color in nature leading people to consider it to be artificial.

Negatives: Cruelty, arrogance, mourning, profanity, exaggeration and confusion

Beige and Gray - the color of neutrality As neutrals, they can be used in combination with almost all colors and still work well visually. Black can make color burst from the web page, especiall if it is a bright color. It is a natural classic color and never goes out of style. Too much black can darken a mood and affect emotions very easily. When designing for a gallery of art or photography, a black or gray background can be used to make the other colors stand out.

Negatives: Death, unknown, fear, dark, sad, threatening, wicked, morbid and dangerous

The color of success We take every part of our design process seriously and few things are as important as your choice of colors for your website. Colors have a larger impact on your viewers than any other part of the design and can affect your site's success. Color is immediate, emotional and memorable. If you have a website, try this simple test. Look at it for a few moments and write down the feelings and words that come to mind. If your colors aren't telling you the same story as your content it may be time to look at changing your color scheme.

Why All Business Should Have A Website

Modern businesses must rely on modern ways to reach potential customers and clients. While traditional methods like the Yellow Pages and newspaper advertising can certainly be effective in attracting an older generation of customers, most people under the age of 40 turn to the Internet in order to locate a business.

There are several ways to promote your business to an online audience, but none is as effective or important as a traditional website. Websites can range from simple in design to flashy, but in order to be effective they must provide a visitor with critical information about your business. This information should include an address, a phone number, hours of operation, and a description of the services and products which are offered by the business. Your website can be full of fancy features and flashy graphics, but if they don't provide potential customers with this basic information, the website will not be an effective tool.

Some business owners are reluctant to build a website because they are under the false impression that website construction is time-consuming and expensive. While hiring a professional website designer can be costly, most small businesses can get by with a simple business website. There are many companies on the Internet which offer inexpensive websites to businesses for under $25.00 per month. The price of a website usually depends on the complexity of the design and the amount of features. In other words, a one-page simple website will cost substantially less than a ten-page website with flash animation.

So how do you know which type of website is best for your business? The answer depends on the type of business as well as the type of customer you are trying to attract. A basic one-page website is suitable for most businesses, but if you are in a highly visual field, such as design, photography, art, or fashion, then you may want to consider something more visually impressive.

Building a website is an important step to establishing an online presence, but it is only the first step. A website is only effective if people can find it. The biggest misconception business owners have about websites is the belief that their website will magically pop up on all of the major search engines. Your website may show up when someone searches for it, but it could easily be lost in hundreds of search results. In order for a website to be seen, it must have SEO, or "search engine optimization". This is often the difference between a site that costs $5.00 a month and one that costs $50.00 a month. When building a business website, always make sure that you sign up for a package that ensures that your site will be seen on all of the popular search engines.

Mastering Shutter Speed in Low Light Situations

With today's enormous variety of fully-automated digital cameras it can often be difficult to capture low-light indoor and action photos that are pleasing and successful. For example, pictures from a recent indoor family gathering might be full of red-eyed friends and relations and clusters of people brilliantly over lit by the flash. So, how does a photographer avoid this?

It requires the consideration of a few factors and settings on the camera to overcome some of the typical challenges of low-light photography. The first things to consider are the automatic features on a digital camera. Today's cameras want to help people take pictures with as little photographic skill or knowledge as possible, but the settings at work in the automatic cameras are not always suitable to each situation. For instance, if someone sets their digital camera to one of its automatic functions, such as motion or sports imagery, the camera may work to adjust the aperture to get enoug h light into the camera's sensor, but it will also slow down the shutter speed, rendering the image blurry.

Luckily, many cameras allow their users to go to a fully manual mode, meaning the photographer can set the shutter speed, f-stop and ISO. What do these settings mean? For any discussion of low-light photography the shutter speed is basically the way of allowing the camera to capture the action clearly, meaning that it will have to be as fast as possible to catch the image, but also slow enough to allow in adequate lighting. This is helped by adjusting the f-stop, which is the setting on the lens that allows enough light to reach the sensor. Additionally the ISO, what used to be called film speed for traditional photography, can allow for faster shutter speeds, but introduces something called noise into an image.

Noise is basically defined as the ability to distinguish the dots or pixels that make up the photograph, which is an undesirable effect in photographs. Adjusting the ISO is usually not recommended, but no discussion of photography would be complete without the recommendation for experimentation with settings on a camera in order to determine the results. Unfortunately, most modern digital cameras also create noise in their images with slower shutter speeds as well.

So, how do you take a good low-light photograph? There are many things a photographer can do to capture images in low lighting and the first is to make adjustments to shutter speed to see if this helps. The next recommendation is to work with a tripod if possible to allow for reduced camera shake; try adjusting the aperture to allow as much light inside the camera, and finally experiment.

Amazing Pictures of India

Do you want to explore India through its marvelous pictures? That's indeed a great idea if you have the right photography skills on your fingertips. We all know that photography is the activity, process as well as art through which we create still pictures by recording radiation. The radiation is recorded on a radiation sensitive medium like electronic image sensors or photographic film. In general, the term "light" is used instead of the term "radiation". Light emitted or reflected from objects form a real image on FPA pixel array sensor or a light sensitive area through a pin hole in a device referred to as camera.
Photography has multiple uses for science, business, art, manufacturing as well as recreational purposes. The idea behind coming up with a structured definition of photography is only one- to help you know what photography exactly is, identify its vibes and then in corporate the photography skills in you so as to click great pictures. Stock photography d eserves a mention as well. This type of photography in simple words refers to the supply of photographs that have been licensed for particular uses. It is basically used for fulfilling the requirements of creative assignments. In recent times, stock images may be uploaded in online databases. They can be bought as well as sold online. In most of the cases, they are produced in studios where a number of models are appointed for posing as stereotypes, professionals and expressing formulaic emotions andgesticulations.

There are tons websites that sell international stock pictures, however when it comes to purchasing Indian stock photos, you don't have much options by your side. In fact, there may be a number of blogs that have a proper content structure by lack the adequate use of images. As a result, the overall popularity of the blog subsides. Online subscriptions are also an ideal option if you want to purchase Indian pictures in bulk or on a routine basis. Howeve r, creating quality pictures is not everybody's cup of tea, you need to devote ample time and money so as to get it shot as well as edited. It is only after you are done with them, you can move ahead and put it on sale.

Shooting Fish While Scuba Diving In Thailand

If you're checking to see if it's legal, and how you plan to punish me, please allow me to explain. I'm a PADI Master Instructor of Scuba Diving, and I spend my working days teaching scuba in Thailand. One of the most rewarding experiences for my diving students' is shooting great photographs of aquatic marine life.

Making underwater photographs in Thailand has many advantages for divers searching for that 'perfect shot';

Clear blue water
Warm water averaging 28 degrees centigrade
Pristine Coral Reef formations
Established Diving Centers and Scuba Equipment Shops

The most popular tourist areas for scuba diving in Thailand are Pattaya, Phuket and Koh Samui. These resorts offer great fun and excitement for beginners and certified divers. Whether it's vibrant fish life, colourful corals or sunken ship wrecks, the camera won't stop clicking while you're scuba diving in Thailand. I've captured pictures of Seahorses and gian t Gorgonian Sea Fans in Phuket, Black tip reef Sharks in Koh Samui, and World War 11 ship wrecks in Pattaya.

Todays modern camera equipment has changed the way that scuba divers 'shoot' fish underwater. The traditional film camera is still used by many diving professionals, but digital underwater cameras have made underwater photography both accessible and affordable to the majority of scuba divers. Learning to Scuba Dive is not difficult for most people who are comfortable in the water, but snapping great photos under water takes novices some time to learn. One of the most important attributes is good buoyancy control. Apart from all the obvious advantages that neutral, relaxed buoyancy has for scuba diving, if you're trying to compose that image of the tiny yellow blob, commonly known as a Frogfish, being able to hover almost motionless just centimetres away from your subject is what sets you apart from the norm. Also, as recreational scuba divers descend, water abs orbs colour. Starting with Red, Orange and then Yellow, and as you dive deeper, you'll lose Green and Blue. Strobe lights help to restore some of the colour that's lost, which is how the professionals obtain fantastic vibrant colours from their images.

I fully appreciate that not every diver has a passion for taking pictures of the new world that they've discovered. Many divers are more fascinated by ship wrecks, perhaps diving deep or making dives using nitrox (an increased amount of oxygen) but most of my scuba buddies have admitted that they are very keen to share the wonders on the underwater world by shooting pictures of fish and other marine life. With modern technology as a friend, it's now possible to store and share underwater images with your family, friends and even the general public via social sites and the internet. The dive may have been the most amazing experience that you've had, but it's so much more powerful to share the adventures with those for whom it may not be possibly to try scuba diving. PADI scuba courses teach student divers how to capture and share underwater photographs, and the Digital Underwater Photography course is now available to all scuba divers from the age of ten.

Private scu ba lessons are becoming more popular now, especially in Thailand. Taking a dive course with you own private scuba instructor offers exclusivity, the personal touch, and usually more flexibility. So to enrol in the shooting fish course, otherwise known as the PADI DUP (digital underwater photography) course, you do need to be a certified diver of at least ten years old. But be prepared for some underwater fun that diving in Pattaya has to offer. The coral reefs are shallower here than other dive sites in Thailand, and the other advantage is that scuba diving in Pattaya is available year round because the Gulf of Thailand tends to be sheltered from the southwest monsoons that arrive in Phuket from June until October. Pattaya is not a famous diving destination, but beginners and experienced divers will be rewarded with some of the best wreck diving in Thailand. So, clean up the lens, replace the batteries and make sure that you have a watertight seal, because when you dive in P attaya the camera never lies. You really can see Turtles, Seahorses and Sharks, and the wreck dives will leave you breathless (pardon the pun) as you drift along US Landing Crafts from the Second World War that were intentionally sunk by the Thai Navy for the local Thai divers and tourists on a scuba diving holiday in Pattaya.

Canon PowerShot S95 10 MP Digital Camera with 3.8x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom

It is a slim, pocketable camera with many cool features. If you want a truly pocketable camera that gives you good image quality and full control over your photography, then this camera is an excellent choice.

Here's some information about the s95. Canon's 4343B001 PowerShot S95 10MP Compact Digital Camera is ultra-slim, ultra-intelligent and loaded with all a serious photographer's must-haves, with a bright f/2.0 Wide-Angle Lens and professional-style control ring for intuitive manual control. If photography's your passion, now is the perfect time to step up to PowerShot S95.

The Powershot S95 was introduced in August 2010 as a slight upgrade to the S90, which was widely praised for its image quality and excellent interface but criticized for being hard to hold ("like a bar of soap in the shower") and for having a control dial that turned too easily. The S95 fixes both problems and adds a couple of other features in a package that fits in the pocket of your jeans (if they're not super tight). The case is metal, and although there are no finger grips on the body, it's not slippery at all. It feels like it's covered with super-fine sandpaper (like 1000 or 1500 grit, for those you who know what that feels like).

10.0-megapixel sensor combined with the DIGIC 4 Image Processor creates Canon's HS System
Capture 720p HD video in stereo sound; play back on an HDTV via the HDMI output
f/2.0 lens for low light conditions or shallow depth-of-field; control ring for intuitive manual control

How Wildlife Photography Has Developed Along With the Evolution of Digital Camera Technologies

Wildlife photography refers to the popular idea of getting real animal photos in the wild, this kind of pictures are considered true art and only great pros can get to that accomplishment level. Wildlife photography has developed along with the evolution of digital camera technologies, and picturing animals in their natural habitat gives us a glimpse at their habits, helping people understand a the natural world.

There are some basic requirements for wildlife photography and they need to be taken care of before going on the field. First of all you must be able to expose well enough to create the effect of wildlife photo. You must have very good photographic equipment, though good pictures can be taken with a normal camera too. Depending on the situation various tools are needed since it is one thing to photo shoot ants and totally another to capture the image of a lion.

Any wildlife photography specialist will need good skills on the field and some knowledge about wildlife in general. Going in the wild is no easy thing, if you intend to take the challenge, plan everything carefully as wild animals are usually unpredictable. Cases of experimented explorers killed by animals are known and everyone has heard about the death of the Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin. If you intend to photo shy animals you'll have to find or ever build a hiding place from where to take the pictures.

Distance is the best safety element when dealing with large carnivores. Wildlife photography teaches you to be a patient person because nature has its own time you can neither slow it down nor speed it up. In the wild, nature rules, as you are the stranger and the intruder. Nature shows no mercy if you get wounded or something else happens to you, therefore, try to be aware of all the risks that wildlife photography exposes you to.

When involved in wildlife photography don't get upset about some picture you've lost, always keep your eyes open for the next opportunity. You will have to be prepared because most of the picture opportunities are lost when the photograph isn't ready. Be patient as patience means good pictures, and try to learn something in advance about the animal behavior in the wild. A guide who'd know the area well will surely teach you some further tricks and take you to the best spots for picture making.

Filming & Aerial Survey Photography Charter Flights Olduvai Gorge|Oldonyo Lengai| Lake Manyara|Ngorongoro Crater| Serengeti| Mt Kilimanjaro Tanzan

During tour to Tanzania some of the tourists may want to have filming and aerial survey photography in-flight for mammals, birds, geographical features, the great rift valley, the crater, the mountains, hills, forests, flowers, trees to take back home as a witness of visiting this beautiful green country. We have climbing activities going on the highest mountain in the world being mount Kilimanjaro found in Tanzania in Arusha and many tourists loves visiting it and doing a scenic safari. This mount is covered by clouds especially in the mornings but from midday until 1530 pm you can do filming and aerial survey photography and this only can be achieved when you take a private charter flight by fixed wing aircraft or helicopter. Those using scheduled flights can only have a view and take photographs which will not be clear as the purpose of a scheduled flight is to fly to destination keeping the timetable in mind. Those using private flights have the aircraft and the pilot at the disposal and can request for man oeuvres even around the mountain and this goes with a price as it is charged extra from the flight direct to destination and it requires low flying thus using more fuel. Aircraft hirers for the kind of service will have to inform the pilot in advance on the duration of the aerial survey photography so that more fuel can be put and also the flight will be charged direct plus the additional aerial survey photography to be able to ascertain the exact cost of the private charter. While on your private charter to your preferred destinations you will be able to see mammals, birds, flowers, trees, reptiles, insects which you can take photographs. Some of the mammals you will be able to see while in the air are as follows with their descriptions,

White Rhinoceros

The White Rhino is the worlds second largest land mammal-the Elephant being the largest. The animals name has nothing whatever to do with colour, but is a corruption of the Afrikaans word"Weit" meaning wide' and refers to the shape of the mouth, this being the most obvious difference between the two Africa species. Far bigger and heavier than the Black Rhino the head is large, square shaped and carries two horns. The front horn is the larger of the two, averaging 60cm in length; the rear horn is shorter and thicker. The ears are large and oval in shape, the eyes are small and the eyesight is rather poor. The huge body is covered with a thick hide of pale grey skin. The tail is short, terminating with stiff hairs.

Several attempts to reintroduce this species into East Africa's National parks have been undertaken in recent times, but most of the introduced animals have subsequently fallen to poacher's guns and snares. Hopefully, the latest introduction of seventeen animals from South Africa into Kenya's Lake Nakuru National Park will fare better, thereby securing the long-term future of the species in East Africa. They feed by grazing, using the wide mouth and strong lips to crop short grasses. They will feed throughout the day and night, but usually seek shelter from the hot midday sun. They will drink several times a day if water is readily available but during the dry season they can subsist by drinking every 3-4 days.Inspite of their bulk they are surprisingly quick and maneuverable.

Greater Galago

Also known as the Greater Bushbaby, this nocturnal primate has a rounded head, large ears, stout limbs and huge forward facing eyes. The coat is thick and fluffy and shows a wide variation in colour from overall grey with a white tip to the tail, to dark brown with a blackish tail tip. The darker animals tend to be found at higher altitudes and in damper habitats, lighter animals usually being found in drier, lower lying regions. The under parts are off-white and the short, pointed face has dark patches along the sides of the muzzle and around the eyes. The thick tail is longer than the combined length of the head and body, and is very bushy. They are expert climbers and have well adapted digits for this purpose.

Found throughout Tanzania, southern Kenya and coastal regions of Somalia, in variety f habitats including wooded savannahs bush and scrub and mountain forests to an altitude of 3,500m.They spend the daytime sleeping in hollow trees or dense foliage, becoming active at dusk and throughout the night. They feed on fruits, berries, seeds, insects, tree sap and small birds. Females build nests in hollow trees or dense vegetation in which to give birth. The young remain in the nest for the first 2 weeks of life, after which the females will carry them during their nightly foraging, provided the young have acquired the necessary growth and strength to hang on. They usually ride jockey style' on the mothers back. The senses of sight, hearing and smell are extremely good. Small family groups will maintain a territory several hectares in extent, making their presence known by depositing scent from a breast gland and by urinating on branches and tree trunks.

Yellow Baboon

Differs from the Olive Baboon in having a slender build and thin legs. The coat is short, yellowish/grey above the white/cream underparts. The long, pointed muzzle and the hands and feet are grayish. The head is round and the ears are small. They lack the mane around the head and shoulders which is such a distinctive feature of the Olive Baboon. The small, amber coloured eyes are close-set. The eyelids are white/pink and play an important role in communication, particularly in displaying aggression. The tail is long and thin, extending upward for a short distance before' breaking downwards at a sharp angle.

An animal of savannahs and woodlands in Tanzania and eastern and northern Kenya, where the forage both on the ground and in the trees. They feed on a wide variety of foods including, roots, tubers, seeds, leaves, grasses, fruits and many species of invertebrate. They live in large groups (troops') each averaging around 30 individals, dominated by a large male. Relationships are cultivated within the troop by all members, resulting in a well-defined hierarchy. The baboons will often engage in lengthy bouts of mutual grooming which helps to cement these relationships. They are territorial animals with each troop collectively maintaining a range of up to 30 square kilometers, which they defend forcefully against neighbouring troops. Only the highest ranking males will mate with a female during the peak of her cycle, other high ranking males may mate with females at other times.

Fashion Photography, some history and observations

Magazines such as Allure, Vogue and Vanity Fair are known to display some of the best fashion photography that you will ever come across. Photography is a way of showcasing models wearing the trends in clothes, jewelry, sunglasses, hairstyles, necklaces, shoes and other items. The first known record of fashion photography was the portfolio of the Countess de Castiglione, Virginia Oldoini in 1856. The world's first fashion photographer was Adolphe Braun, as he was the one responsible for shooting the first fashion model. Spark and color were added to fashion magazines once halftone printing was introduced to the fashion photography industry. The first magazines to make use of fashion photography were the French magazines Les Mode and La Mode Practique.

At first, fashion photography consisted of staging the shoots in natural environments using natural poses. Baron Adolf de Meyer was the person who first developed and adopted this practice. In the first part of the 20the century, the magazines that were the leaders were Harper's Bazaar and Vogue. The moguls of the industry still pay tribute to the likes of Yva, Edward Steichen and Cecil Beaton, and George Hoyningen Huene. These were the individuals who help to establish fashion photography in Europe. Irving Penn, Richard Avedon and Martin Munkacsi made significant contributions after World War II.

A majority of the artists of earlier times deserted their adopted forms, and took on a more independent and natural style. 1936 was the year that models were first photographed at the beach in different poses, by Martin Munkacsi. After World War II, fashion photography became quite popular among young men who loved to hold a camera in their hands, and among young women who had the ideal body type of a fashion model. Today, fashion photography has evolved into a life of its own. Models and photographers are now seen as international celebrities, and enjoy the lifestyle of the rich and glamorous. But make no mistake this it is no easier for the photographer then it is the models, only a small percentage of those trying to make it actually succeed.

Fashion can be showcased in various avenues. Some of these well appreciated and well paid avenues include celebrity portraiture, art photography and fashion advertising. Fashion moguls such as agent Gloria Cappelletti and photo editor Clio McNicholl both agree that the fashion photography industry is quickly evolving.

For anyone wanting to become a fashion photographer it is important to keep up on trends and aesthetics of the industry. Study the images in the top fashion publications and try to understand the images and what attracts editors to them. Its interesting to look back at some of the really great photographers from a few decades ago. Interesting that some of the fashion photographers appear to have disappeared. The ones still shooting are the ones that accept change and reinvent their style all the time, fashion photography can become dated almost as quickly as the fashions they showcase.

As a professional photographer, apart from your camera, the most important tool that you can own is your portfolio. Your portfolio is actually your gateway to the industry. There are certain guidelines that you must follow when submitting your portfolio to a fashion editor. Once you are able to follow these guidelines correctly, you will on your way to becoming one of the world's renowned fashion photographers.

Photographer's tip: How to take great sports photographs

Sports photography isn't easy.
Once you get past the heavy and expensive equipment, low lighting conditions and often difficult access to playing surfaces, it all comes down to two things: timing and anticipation.
Timing is something that comes mostly with practice. Even the top sports photographers in the world will become rusty over the off-season and have to sharpen their skills in order to capture those "peak action" moments.
But having said that, most DSLR cameras now come packed with some wonderful tools to help you get that perfect sports picture.
For instance, most cameras are now equipped with excellent auto-focus systems, which in most cases you'll want to set to "continuous mode." This should allow you to follow the action and keep your subject sharp. Also be sure to set the camera's motor drive to highest frame rate. Most cameras will now allow for 5 frames per second while the top models will capture up to 11 fps.
Anticipation is another skill that comes with practice, but also knowing the ins and outs of the particular sport you are photographing can help here.
Especially knowing a player's tendencies will help keep you a step ahead of the play. For example, every golf photographer knows Tiger Woods's signature fist pump and will anticipate that moment to happen on the 18th hole.
Likewise, every hockey shooter knows that when the Dion Phaneuf is on the ice for the Toronto Maple Leafs, there is the possibility of a big open ice hit.
Capturing good sports photography is always challenging whether you are shooting you children's soccer match or the Stanley Cup Final. But by working on these two critical skills you will improve your chances of getting the perfect shot.
Good luck!

Prime Lens Vs Zoom Lens – Which Is Best?

So, youre wanting to get a new lens, but youre not quite sure whether to buy a prime lens or a zoom lens. Both types of lenses have their advantages and disadvantages, and you want to make sure you make the right decision and get the lens which best fits your photographic needs.

In case you didn't already know, the main difference between a zoom lens and prime lens is that a zoom lens enables you to adjust your focal length within a certain range (for example 18-50mm), whereas a prime lens has a fixed focal length.

So you might be wondering what the point is of using a prime lens. Surely if you have the choice between a lens with flexibility and one with no flexibility, then surely the flexible one is the best one, isnt it? Well, its not really as straightforward as that, because prime lenses do have some advantages. To begin with, they are lighter than zoom lenses because they have less moving parts. Mechanically speaking, they are simpler.

In addition to this, prime lenses usually have wider apertures. The aperture of a lens determines how much light the lens lets in at any one time. Aperture ratings are in ratios, for example 1:3.5 or 1:2.8, but usually when buying a lens you will see it shown without the 1 in front of it, for example 3.5. Lenses with lower aperture numbers are more expensive, as a lower number means a wider aperture. Having a wide aperture produces a shallow depth of field, meaning that only a small distance range is in focus. A narrow depth of field (a wide aperture) would be great for close-ups of flowers where you want the background blurred, whereas a large depth-of-field (a small aperture) would be ideal for landscape photos.

Okay, so how about the zoom lens?

Well, a zoom lens will give you a bigger range of distances to compose your image. This means that you don't need to move closer or further away from your subject to get the picture you're after. I t can also be great for taking shots of wildlife, because you can zoom in without having to change your position, so you will be less likely to scare the animal away.
The best way to decide which type of lens is right for you is to ask yourself what type of photography you are going to be doing. If you are going to be photographing a scene which remains still, such as a landscape scene, then a prime lens could be a good choice. If on the other hand you want to photograph things that are moving, such as animals, people, or sports photography, then a zoom lens is a must.

Which Canon EOS Lens Is Best For A Beginner - 3 Hints For Choosing A Good All Purpose Lens

What do you believe is your beginning consideration as a new digital SLR owner? It should be which lens you want as an all-purpose lens. Believe me, there are plenty of folks who have agonized over this decision.

There are many really superior lenses to consider as walk around lenses. It's kind of like buying a compact point and shoot camera, though. What zoom range are you looking for?

For the purpose of this article, it shall be assumed that you are searching for a zoom lens rather than one with a fixed focal length. Most, though not all, new owners opt for the Canon "kit lens" as their first lens. While choosing a kit lens may make sense to you now, you will likely not be happy with the lens down the road. You either think you will just wait and purchase a better lens later, or you don't even think about a different lens.

That is not my view. You should get the very best glass(lens) that money can buy rather than spending money on an inf erior kit lens. After all, you will want to upgrade fairly soon, anyway, so why not get more bang for your buck right up front.

There are several things to consider about the lens you are planning to buy.

First consideration is focal length. In general, a focal length of about 18-24mm on the short end and 55-75mm on the long end will give you a very useful range. Keep in mind that these numbers are not critical. There are also some excellent quality lenses that have about 105mm at the long end.

Canon, Sigma, and Tamron have recently released some pretty good lenses in the super-zoom category. These have focal lengths of 18mm at the short end and 200-270mm on the long end. They have gotten favorable reviews, however just keep in mind that the image quality will not be as good as those lenses with less zoom capability.

Second consideration is aperture. The best lenses will have a constant aperture of f/2.8 across all focal lengths. Y ou can almost always save money by getting a lens with a variable aperture, such as f/3.5-5.6, but they will not give you the same performance in all situations, especially when lighting is a challenge.

The final thing to scrutinize when buying your first lens is price. For some, this may be the first thing to consider, but with DSLR photography, it really needs to follow the other two factors. Rather than getting the cheapest lens on the market just to have one, it would be far better in the long run to save enough money to start with a good lens. Don't make the same mistake that so many who have gone before you. If good image quality is something you take seriously, you will not be satisfied with a poorly constructed lens. It is very frustrating to try to take great pictures with poor quality lenses.
Now, you can save money by using Canon EOS lenses from third party manufacturers. Some third party lenses are top-notch and less costly than a Canon lens that is identical in capabilities.

A word of warning. Camera forums can be very informative, and they are full of well-meaning photographers, but they can also be very confusing. This is because the folks in those forums are very passionate about their opinions. They can mislead you by bashing certain cameras and products. While this is not always the case, if it happens to you, it could cloud your thinking and mess up your research.
